In a bizarre collaboration that breaks conventional predictions, the game developer has announced an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, including complimentary bonus story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Questline Disclosed

According to the formal release, "An unusual encounter leads heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a original adventure, where whispers of banned rituals and terrifying changes resonate through the darkness." The plot features a "oddly dressed woman named Ada" who charges the duo with venturing into the Crystal Cave—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her friend from a secret group.

The mission centers on "bizarre trials and a terrifying foe" and is available to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Iconic Settings and Metamorphoses

The preview highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This important location was previously where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through eras. The trailer finishes with a dramatic sequence showing a character, presumably the hostage, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Items and Extra Features

Players who successfully complete the mission will obtain an special katana together with several items secreted throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also features in-store Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
